Terms of Service

Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ProofOS, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

1. Service Description

ProofOS is a global proof infrastructure platform that enables individuals to:

✓ Create and manage proof wallets
✓ Store verified claims (identity, employment, education)
✓ Share proofs securely with third parties
✓ Export cryptographically-signed proof packages
✓ Revoke access to shared proofs

2. User Responsibilities

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your OTP codes and session tokens. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate information when creating claims. Fraudulent claims may result in account termination.

Prohibited Use

You may not use ProofOS for illegal activities, to impersonate others, or to circumvent verification systems.

3. Wallet Ownership

You own your wallet and all claims within it. ProofOS acts as a custodian of encrypted data but does not own or have access to your decrypted claim data.

You can delete your wallet at any time. Upon deletion, all data is permanently erased (right to erasure under DPDP).

4. Verification & Claims

ProofOS uses third-party verification providers (UIDAI, EPFO, etc.) to verify claims. We provide confidence + risk scores but do not guarantee 100% accuracy.

Verifiers should perform their own due diligence. ProofOS proof packages are evidence, not definitive proof.

5. Share Permissions & Revocation

When you create a share link:

✓ You grant permission (VIEW_ONLY, VERIFY, or EXPORT)
✓ A consent receipt is generated (SHA-256 hash)
✓ You can revoke access anytime
✓ Revoked shares cannot be accessed (HTTP 403)

Important: Once a proof package is exported and downloaded, you cannot recall it. Choose EXPORT permission carefully.

6. Pricing & Billing

Free Tier

Individuals get free wallets forever. Free tier includes 5 share links/month and 2 proof exports/month.

Paid Plans

Businesses pay for verification services. See pricing page for details.

7. Limitation of Liability

ProofOS is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

✗ Inaccurate verification results from third-party providers
✗ Unauthorized access due to user negligence
✗ Service downtime or data loss (though we maintain backups)
✗ Decisions made by verifiers based on proof packages

Our maximum liability is limited to the fees you paid in the last 12 months.

8. Intellectual Property

The ProofOS platform, Proof Package Format (PPF v1.0), and all associated trademarks are owned by TechAeroes. Users retain ownership of their claim data.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account if you:

✗ Violate these terms
✗ Engage in fraudulent activity
✗ Abuse the platform or other users

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your wallet.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by Indian law. Disputes will be resolved through arbitration in Bangalore, Karnataka.
